January 2015 eNews - What's New in 2015

Dear  Power of Love friend,

Happy New Year! We are excited to share that we will be launching a new project this month in Lusaka, Zambia.

This pilot project is the result of a collaboration with Pennywise Foundation and the Doane Net Project. The goal of the project is to strengthen the local community by teaching residents how to take waste plastic and turn it into items they can use or sell - items such as mosquito nets/screens, school bags, handbags, cell phone covers, and much more.

The residents who make items such as mosquito screens/nets can help prevent malaria in their families, sell additional products for income, and help clean up their community by upcycling trash into useful items. This simple project does so much: it creates jobs, cleans up the local environment, and saves lives.

It's through your help that Power of Love can pursue new projects like the one above. Please donate generously so we can continue to provide programs and training to families impacted by HIV and AIDS in Zambia. Every dollar counts and helps us strengthen the community. As always, 100% of your donations go towards programs and no part is used for overheads.
