July 2026 - We Continue to Fight and Win Against HIV

For 23 years, the Power of Love Foundation has provided a comprehensive package of healthcare services to children and families living with HIV in slum neighborhoods in Lusaka, Zambia. Our collaboration with government clinics, who provide ARV medicines free of cost to families, has resulted in reducing viral loads for all children and in helping them live close to normal lives. With better health, all school age children are attending school. In addition, every year several children graduate high school and a few enroll in vocational training courses.

Recent budget cuts in the prevention of HIV, are a cause for concern. According to a UN report, the number of people who received PrEP medication (an HIV prevention med), declined by 38% between 2025 and 2024. Given this scenario, we continue to add services such as mental health counseling, and continue to provide training in caring for family members living with HIV, psychosocial support, food, and medicines so that all children stay healthy, and in school.

Your support for our programs in the areas of healthcare, income generation, and education keeps children in school and families healthy, stabilizes incomes, and grows leaders and entrepreneurs. We are seeing this every day on the ground. As always, every dollar you donate goes directly to our programs—none is used for overhead costs.
