Christina spent three weeks in the summer of 2018, working with the Power of Love team in Zambia. She spent most of her time playing and assessing the health of children enrolled in our pediatric HIV care program. In Christina's words, "My time working as a volunteer for the Power of Love in Matero, Zambia has been a life changing experience. One that will leave me with skills that you cannot learn in a classroom or office. I have been a social worker for over 10 years with the public sector in the United States and one month in Zambia working with the children has given such a deep impact on what it means to provide care and to be of service. I will forever be grateful for this opportunity for it will help enhance my skills going forward in the social work field and I would have no hesitation to do it again.
