Living with HIV Is no Barrier to Achieving Ones Dreams

Power of Love's pediatric HIV care program provides a suite of services to children living with HIV so that they can live close to normal/normal lives. With improved health, 95% of school age children are in school and our goal is for all children to graduate high school, get gainful employment, and be able to take good care of their families.

Tracking children post high school: Over the last several years, we have maintained contact with children who turn 18 years of age and graduate from the program. Our team continues to guide and connect them to vocational training institutes and organizations that can help them with their careers. Given below is the story of a graduate who is now running a business in one of Lusaka’s busiest markets.

Brad (name changed) graduated from our pediatric HIV care a few years back. He was enrolled in Power of Love’s micro loans program last year, received business training and loan funds. Brad used the loan funds to start a business that sells clothing such as jeans and t-shirts, in a busy central market in Lusaka. His plan is to expand his business in the next few months. We are confident that Brad will be able to realize his dreams.

Thank you for giving the gift of health to vulnerable children in Zambia.
