Dear Power of Love Friend: Happy April! Today we would like you to meet Alex who enrolled in our pediatric HIV care program last year. Alex inspires us with his cheerful attitude and love for learning amidst difficult circumstances. Both his parents are HIV+ and he was suffering from fever, lack of appetite, weight loss, and diarrhea since he was a baby. After joining our program, Alex's family received counseling, training, and a comprehensive package of health care services. Over the last six months, Alex's health has improved, as seen by a sustained gain in weight and a stronger immune system.  

With improved health, he is learning to take medications on his own. We are proud of Alex for his "can do" attitude and self-reliance in taking care of his health. He is studying in grade seven, likes school and interacts well with his peers. 

Please donate generously so we can continue to prevent new HIV infections, care for HIV+ children, and train family members in HIV prevention. Every dollar helps strengthen the community. And, as always, 100% of your donations go towards programs and no part is used for overheads.
