July 2021 - New Businesses Launched by Vulnerable Women

Dear friend: Happy July! Our experience over the last 15 years has shown that two things – access to credit and business training – are needed to help ensure that women are able to start and grow their personal businesses. Earnings from businesses help pay for food, medicines, rent, and school expenses. Healthy and educated children, in turn, educate the next generation. We have also observed that when women launch and run their own businesses, the resulting positive impact often goes beyond their family to their neighborhoods and lasts one generation or more. Last April, more than 350 women living in Matero and neighboring compounds in Zambia received business training and small loans. This group of women launched new businesses that are providing valuable services to the community.
The goal of our micro loans program is to provide a stable income to families and support communities in designing long term solutions to social issues. Please donate generously so we can continue to educate and train vulnerable women and children. Every dollar counts. And, as always, 100% of your donations go towards programs and no part is used for overheads.
