May 2017 - Saturday Mornings are for Learning and Fun

Dear Power of Love Friend: Happy May! As children in our hemisphere are getting ready for summer, children in Zambia are starting to take out their warm clothes to prepare for winter. In addition, children from the community of Matero look forward to  Saturday mornings when they can participate in Power of Love's "Safe Park" program. This program is led by trained staff, who engage the children in educational games and activities and has been a big hit in the community, with more than 750 children enrolled and 75+ attending each week.

"Safe Park" provides a safe environment for children to play, learn, and interact with one another. Age-appropriate games and activities help children cope with difficult circumstances, such as loss of a parent or sibling to HIV, and reconnect with their families. Our trained staff counsels and guides families to ensure that the child is growing and developing normally.

Please donate generously so "Safe Park" activities continue to help children from Matero feel a sense of well-being and belonging. As always, 100% of your donations go towards POL programs and no part is used for overheads.
