Equalize Access to Resources on This World AIDS Day
Dear Power of Love Friend: Greetings! On this World AIDS Day, UNAIDS is urging each of us to reduce the inequalities which are slowing progress in ending AIDS. Over the last 40 years of HIV response, vulnerable populations have not had equal access to testing, treatment, and new technologies. For example, young women in Africa, and other vulnerable populations such as gay men and sex workers do not have continued access to HIV prevention efforts. According to Winnie Byanyima, Executive Director for UNAIDS, “we can end AIDS – if we end the inequalities which perpetuate it. In addition, “to keep everyone safe, to protect everyone’s health, we need to Equalize.”
With your support, vulnerable women and children will have improved access to medicines, and professional health care services such as counseling and education. Every dollar counts and goes a long way in keeping children healthy, and in school. And, as always, 100% of your donations go towards programs and no part is used for overheads.
Your friends at the Power of Love Foundation
