Prevent Mother-to-Child Transmission
Dear Alka: On this World AIDS day, our mission to prevent new HIV infections, and support children living with HIV has been strengthened. The UN Sustainable Development Goal for health includes ending AIDS by 2030. Our goal is that none of the children under our care ever develop AIDS. Together we can end AIDS in just over a decade.
Dear Power of Love Friend: Happy October! We would like to thank our friends who donated to the matching campaign with our partner, One Day's Wages.
You Are Helping End AIDS
Can Malaria be eliminated from Zambia: Zambia has set a lofty goal of eliminating malaria by 2021, even though malaria transmission rates continue to be high in all parts of the country. According to the USAID, this goal is ambitious, but within reach.
We can end AIDS: The UN has set a goal of ending AIDS by 2030. This can be achieved if 80%, (current number is 59%) of all people living with HIV are on treatment.
Thank you for working with us to prevent new HIV infections and provide a package of life saving health care services to 350 HIV+ orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. Today we would like you to meet one of the children who have benefitted from your support over the past year.
